Find your code
Look in your child's IEP, usually under "Least Restrictive Environment" or "Instructional Arrangement/Setting." Speech-only IEPs are code 00. Most students in general-education classes with support are 40, 41 or 42.
Why districts differ
The add-on equals what the district would have been funded under the state formula, which is adjusted for district size. Smaller districts often show higher amounts for the same code.
Only at a participating school
The IEP amount applies at a participating private school or pre-K/K program. Homeschool/other students receive $2,000.
