Rules that apply

  • Must be required by the school, provider or course.
  • The Comptroller has issued separate uniform purchasing guidance listing eligible items.

What isn't allowed

  • Everyday clothing that is not a required uniform

In Houston

Catholic and many Christian schools in Houston require uniforms; when the school sells them, they can be billed as a uniform fee.

How to buy it

Log in to the TEFA parent portal (Odyssey). Pay your school or an approved provider through the platform, or buy approved products in the marketplace. If a provider isn't listed, it has to apply and be approved before it can be paid.
